Kidnappers have reportedly abducted eight travellers along Oshokoshoko-Obajana-Lokoja road and are demanding a ransom of N30 million.

Daily Trust gathered that the incident happened around 4.30pm on Saturday when the kidnappers intercepted the vehicle travelling from Kabba to Lokoja.

A member of the People With Disabilities (PWDs), Kogi State chapter, Elupo Eliazer, said his wife and son were among the victims.

He said their abductors had called and were demanding the sum of  N30m initially which after negotiations,  they reduced to N2.6m.

The Kogi State Police Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP William Aya, was contacted over the incident and he promised to find out and revert but he didn’t as at the time of filing this report.
