A kidnapper, identified as Amodu Gonsho, has been killed by the police in Edo State during a gun battle.
It was gathered that the kidnapper was killed on Monday after a failed kidnaping operation.

The state command’s spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, said the operatives of the command, while on routine patrol, encountered suspected kidnappers attempting to kidnap their victim.
He said the suspected kidnappers, on sighting the police, opened fire, leading to a gun battle, adding that in the process one of the kidnappers, Amodu Gonsho, who was a notorious kidnapper on the command’s wanted list, was killed.
