The abducted Executive Chairman of Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State, Hon. Henry Jan Gotip, has been released.
The spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, DSP Alabo Alfred, confirmed the release of the victim to journalists, adding that Henry was released unhurt Wednesday night.

Daily Trust had reported how the chairman was abducted on Wednesday, in his residence in Jos North Local Government Area of the state.
Alfred said, “The local government boss has been reunited with his family and will soon be debriefed by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Command to build up the available intelligence that will lead to the arrest of his abductors.
“The Commissioner of Police Plateau State Command, CP Bartholomew N. Onyeka, reiterates the commitment of the Command to making the state inhabitable for all Plateau residents. He further urges members of the public to continue to assist the police with timely information to enable it respond swiftly to incidents.”
