Kidnapped mother, 4 children regains freedom in Kaduna

A mother of four children, Hajara Abdulsalam, who was kidnapped alongside four of her children in Barakallahu community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State has been freed.

Her kidnapped children are: Muhammad Mustapha Abdulsalam, Hauwa Abdulsalam, Muhammad Abdulsalam, and Ummul-Khairi Abdulsalam.

Her husband, Abdulsalam Haruna, a road-side tailor confirmed the development.

According to him, “She returned yesterday after the kidnappers pursued her from the hiding place.

“She told me that she kept repeating ‘La illa ha ill llah’ since she was kidnapped.

“It seems they got tired of hearing her say the name of Allah and they asked her to leave, unfortunately, my four children are still with them.”

He called on the government and well-meaning Nigerian’s to come to his aid.

Daily Trust recalls that the kidnappers on 18th September, 2020, stormed the community and kidnapped four children of the same parents including their mother.

About three days after the incident, the kidnappers demanded N100 million for each of the victims making a total of N500 million.

The family is still negotiating for a reduction in the ransom.
