Kidnapped expatriate regains freedom

An expatriate with Hartland Construction Company who was kidnapped by gunmen in Edo State has regained freedom.

The expatriate was kidnapped on Wednesday at Idegun Community, Anwain clan, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

He was supervising the construction of Idegun Awain road when he was kidnapped by gunmen after killing his police orderly.

It was gathered that he was released to his employer at Anegbette, a village in Etsako Central Local Government Area of the state after the payment of undisclosed ransom.

When contacted, the state’s police command spokesperson confirmed the release of the expatriate.
