The highly anticipated seventh season of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show has kicked off.
The host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, unveiled this year’s season tagged “Level Up” at a colourful ceremony on Saturday night.
Below are some of the housemates who will be keeping you all glued to your TV screens in the next 10 weeks.
KESS
Kess, who is married, says he is bringing good vibes. The Delta indigene says he doesn’t believe in love at first sight. He says he will be totally focused on the game. He hopes to pick up his union from where he left it when he returns. For the show, Kess says he is bringing a lot on.
BEAUTY
Beauty says she a is bringing all the realness to the show. She says she is very straightforward person, very expressive and true to herself.
She also says she is a very good cook. Like some of her co-contestants, she does not believe in love at first sight. A former beauty queen, Beauty hails from Taraba state.
ILEBAYE
Ilebaye describes herself as adventurous and controversial. She hails from Kogi state. She says she’s bringing the Gen Z drama. Ilebaye says she’s a lover but not going to be a shipper.
KHALID
Khalid says he is single and not searching. He hails from Plateau state and plays basketball. He says he has great communication skills. He is a great artist and boxer. He doesn’t believe in love at first sight, he’d love to meet and get to know the person.
GROOVY
Stanley Orakwe hails from Anambra state. He says he is bringing a lot of fun, and dynamism to the show. The 6ft 5 tall listed vibes, drama and laughter as some of the entertainment qualities that fans should be on the look out for.
His words, “I believe I’m a very creative person, I believe I have a very infectious smile. I am not a fighter but a lover. I am single and ready to mingle.”
He was the first housemate to be introduced.
CYPH
Cyph is a tech bro who loves life as it comes. He says he’ll be bringing cruise and drama. He loves food and believes in love at first sight. He plans to mingle with the other housemates. He hails from Mbaise in Imo State.
AMAKA
Amaka, who hails from Anambra State, says she is in the game to win the money. She is an extremist who would go hard or go home. The housemate described herself as a go-getter. She hopes to disappoint anyone who believes a man will win this year’s season.
CHRISTY O
Christy has promised to bring good energy, fun and “awesome vibes” to the House. The indigene of Ondo State enjoys entertaining people. She is a lovable person who pays attention to details so as not to be caught off guard. She hates liars, and always tells it like it is.
“I pay attention to details and that’s going to make me stand out in the house,” she said on the opening day of the show.
BRYANN
Bryann promises to bring vibes, big energy and swag to BBN Season 7. He says he’s a threat because he’s super confident and ready to adapt to any situation.
PHYNA
Phyna plans to level up be giving us the ginger and vibes. She believes that Big Brother Naija fans will love her because she’s jovial but they might find her too strict. The Edo indigene does not believe in love at first sight.
Responding to a question on this when Ebuka Obi Uchendu, the host asked, she said, “Why I go fall in love at first sight, you use money sew clothe?”
PHARMSAVI
Pharmsavi hails from Akwa Ibom state. He is a pharmacist and a low-key entertainer. Pharmsavi loves acting. He likes a pinch of drama and likes to put smiles on the faces of people. A lover of peace.
DANIELLE PETERS
Danielle Peters, known as Daniella, is a 22-Year-old poet from Cross River state, who is sensitive. The twin doesn’t do drama. She is bringing love and light and positive energy to the show. She loves to sleep and gist.
Winner of the show will walk away with a grand prize of N100 million. According to the organisers, 30 fans will win N1m each in the ‘Fave Lock-In’ promo, exclusive to DStv and GOtv subscribers.
Meanwhile, more housemates are expected to be introduced on the second day of the show.
