The All Progressives Congress (APC) Stakeholders Forum has asked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to evaluate the performance of his ministers every six months with a view to firing those not contributing tremendously to the implementation of his Renewed Hope agenda for Nigeria.
Addressing a press conference Sunday in Abuja, the National Chairman of the APC Stakeholders Forum, Abdullahi Aliyu Katsina, said for Tinubu to fulfill his campaign promises, ministers must be closely monitored to deliver on their mandates.
The stakeholders also appealed to Tinubu to introduce measures that would help address the socio-economic and security challenges bedeviling the country.
He said, “We are hereby using this medium to request President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to understand that the success of his administration is largely on the commitment of his ministers. Mr President, Sir, we are requesting you to please, introduce measures that could help you identify performing and underperforming ministers so you can fire all underperforming ones out of your cabinet.

“This time around, the APC family is not ready to remain silent about any factor undermining the government of the good people of Nigeria.
“Relieving underperforming ministers is the only way to the success of this government. There are challenges in the country.
“I call on all APC supporters to continue supporting leaders at all levels as Nigerians will soon smile and benefit from a series of economic and social programmes designed to change the lives of Nigerians economically.”
