Kebbi reiterates commitment to improved healthcare

The Kebbi State Government has reiterated its commitment to implement its social protection policy toward improving healthcare services, education, food and nutrition for citizens.

Hajiya Aisha Muhammad, the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, revealed this at a two-day workshop on the validation of drafted policy documents on Wednesday in Sokoto.

Hajiya Aisha, who is also the Chairperson of the Technical Working Committee (TWC) on the policy, assured maximum implementation of the policy aimed at uplifting the lives of citizens.

She said different local and international reports, including from the World Bank, indicated that over 40 per cent of Nigerians lived below the poverty line. (NAN)
