Kebbi: Police inspector killed in accident

An inspector with the Kebbi state Police Command has been killed in a road accident following a tyre burst on Koko-Jega road in the state.

This was contained in a statement by the spokesman of the command, SP Nafi’u Abubakar, issued on Sunday. The statement reads in part: “On 25/11/2023 at about 1000HRS there was motor vehicle accident on Koko-Jega road involving a police Land Cruiser with Reg No 5465D.

“The vehicle was conveying a team of policemen led by AC CID, Kebbi Police Command, ACP Suleiman Sade, and nine others, while on their way to visit the scene of a crime in Kendawa village, Dutsinmari District of Koko/Besse LGA.”

Abubakar explained that on reaching the NNPC area in Koko, one of the rear tyres of the vehicle burst and it summersaulted thrice. (NAN)
