Men of the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) have neutralised a suspected rustler and recovered 74 cows in Jarkuka village in Arewa LGA of Kebbi State.
The hunters also arrested a suspected cable thief and his accomplice, Auwalu Musa and Malam Labaran Umar respectively, in the Bayan Rima area in Birnin Kebbi.
While briefing journalists, the state’s Commander of NHSS, Ambassador Musa Hussein Rambo, said his men succeeded in killing one of the rustlers as they were taking the cows through a forest between Niger Republic and Sokoto State.
In the second incident, Rambo said, “The suspect went to an area in Bayan Rima, climbed poles and cut cables. He then went behind the presidential lodge to locate one Labaran Umar to sell the cables to him.
