The Kebbi State House of Assembly majority leader, Muhammad Yakubu has emerged as winner of the primary election for Birnin-Kebbi, Kalgo and Bunza federal constituency.
He got 461 votes to emerge winner among seven contenders.
The House of Representatives primary election was conducted under the leadership of former Birnin-kebbi Local Government chairman, Dahiru Nayaya Ambursa and four other members.
The incumbent House of Representative Member for Birnin Kebbi ,Kalgo and Bunza federal constituency, Abdullahi Umar Faruk Muslim lost the seat.
Declaring the election result, Nayaya said 1053 delegates were accredited for the election.
He said other aspirants, Abubakar Bello had 8 votes, Mansur Shehu, 83 votes, Abdullahi Umar Faruk Muslim, 45 votes, Abdulkadir Bawa Bunza, 42 votes and Aminu Suleiman with 0 vote
Other aspirants are Ibrahim Bande with 383 votes.
