The incumbent Governor of Kebbi state, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is leading in 19 local governments from the results so far declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Bagudu is leading his Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) opponent, Senator Isa Galaudu with a wide margin in the governorship poll.
The INEC’s Returning Officer for the state governorship election, Professor Yau Bichi, said the conclusive results from the remaining two local governments, Arewa and Yauri would be announced as soon as they reconvened by 5pm on Sunday (today).
The results of the governorship election so far declared by the respective INEC’s local government Collation Officers at the Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic Collation Centre in Birnin Kebbi shows that APC is leading in the following local government areas of the state:
