INEC is to present Certificate of Return to winners of the elections in the state today in Birnin Kebbi.
Sarkin-Yaki in a recent interview said he will concede victory and congratulate Bagudu only when he is satisfied with the conduct of the election.
Abubakar Bagudu Kalgo in an interview with Daily Trust yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, said for Sarkin-Yaki to have said that he is yet to accept defeat does not portray true spirit of sportsmanship.
He called on Sarkin-Yaki to reflect on the process that produced him as the PDP gubernatorial candidate and the way and manner other aspirants were coerced to accept him despite hue and cries from other aspirants.
Kalgo said: “All the candidates were allowed by law to have agents in all the 2398 polling units in 225 Wards across 21 LGAs across the state.
“If at the end of the day, one candidate cannot agree with all his agents and other election monitors then he has left much to be desired.
“Reports from both domestic and international observers as well as several stakeholders say it was peaceful, fair and to some extent credible despite few hitches and human errors. But generally it was a successful one.”
