Kebbi gov donates N50m to Jigawa flood victims

The Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has donated N50 million to Jigawa State flood victims. 

The governor announced the donation in his speech delivered at the palace of the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi, when he paid a courtesy call on Tuesday. 

Bagudu said he was in the state to sympathise with the people over the recent flood that displaced thousands of people in some of its local government areas.

He said the devastating flood had caused a lot of loss, including the lives of people. 

Also speaking at the Jigawa Government House, Bagudu called on the people of the state and farmers not to be discouraged. 

The emir in his response thanked the governor for his concern and assistance. 

He also promised justice and fairness in distributing the cash to the victims. 

The emir commended the governor for his efforts and contribution to improving agriculture and rice production in the country.
