The death has occurred of Kauran Katsina, District Head of Rimi, Alhaji Nuhu Abdulkadir, who died at the age of 80.
Abdulkadir, who was the most senior council member and one of the kingmakers of Katsina Emirate, passed on yesterday at his home in Rimi after a brief illness.
He has since been buried in his hometown of Rimi after a funeral prayer held at his palace.
He was survived by four wives, 20 children and many grandchildren.
In his condolence message, Governor Aminu Masari said his wisdom and valuable advice would be greatly missed.
