The Technical Adviser of Katsina United, Tony Bolus, has refused to vacate his position as directed by the management of the club.
Following alleged acts of insubordination and unsatisfactory performances, the club secretary Aminu Alhassan had written to inform the coach of management’s decision that he should step aside pending the outcome of an investigation to be conducted.
“I am directed by the Katsina United Football Club to ask you to step aside from your position as Technical Adviser of the team. The management frowns at your technical ineptitude since the beginning of the season which is seriously affecting the performance of our team.
“The management will set up a committee to look into all these acts with their findings and report submitted in no distant time,” the letter reads in part.

However, the coach who is said to be backed by the Katsina State Commissioner for sports, Alhaji Yusuf Jirdede, has refused to comply with the ‘step aside order’.
Daily Trust gathered that after the management directed that one of his assistants should take charge of the team’s last training before the trip to Enugu, Coach Bolus still ‘hijacked’ the session from his deputy.
Consequently, he will be in the dugout on Sunday, November 19 when Katsina United battle with Enugu Rangers.
