A Coalition of Katsina State Students yesterday staged a peaceful rally calling on delegates across the major political parties to elect credible governorship candidates in the interest of the state.
The students who staged the rally from Continental to Steel Rolling Roundabouts in Katsina metropolis carried placards with various inscriptions including, “Katsina State is not for sale”.
- Orji Kalu to get APC senatorial ticket unopposed
- School feeding: FG to spend N999m daily on 10m pupils
Addressing the newsmen during the rally, the leader of the students, Aliyu Mamman, urged the delegates to have the interest of over eight million people of the state in their hearts.
He said, “We are aware that the delegates are being given huge amounts of money by the aspirants to vote for them during primaries. Therefore, while spending the money, they should remember that over eight million Katsina people are in their hands.
“They should fear God and elect the right candidates that have the people in mind, and can also deliver what is expected from them.
“We want the delegates to choose leaders that would bring the end of this challenge and bring more developmental projects,” Mamman added.
