Katsina governorship aspirant, Yar’adua, loses mother

A former Senator representing Katsina Central, Abubakar Sadiq Yar’adua, has lost his mother, Hajiya Hurera Sa’id.

Hajiya, popularly called Goggo, died after a brief illness at the age of 86.

She was interred at Yammawa Cemetery after a funeral prayer held at exactly 5pm at her residence in the Yar’adua area of the Katsina metropolis.

Some dignitaries who attended the funeral prayer included the Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari; his deputy, Mannir Yakubu, and a business mogul, Alhaji Dahiru Mangal.

Others were the Managing Director of Federal Mortgage Bank, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa; Secretary to the Katsina State Government,  Dr Mustapha Inuwa; Commissioner for Sports and Welfare Development,  Alhaji Sani Danlami, and his counterpart in the land, Alhaji Usman Nadada, among others. 

Hajiya Goggo was survived by seven children and many grandchildren.
