The Katsina State Independent Electoral Commission (KTSIEC) has declared February 15, 2025, as the date for the local government council elections in the state.
The chairman of KTSIEC, Lawal Alhassan, made this announcement in Katsina on Wednesday during a stakeholders’ meeting.
According to Alhassan, the official notification period for the election will run from February 14, 2024, to February 15, 2025, as stipulated in Section 28 of the Electoral Act 2022.
