The late Hajiya Amina Isah Gachi was on Tuesday laid to rest at Rimin Badawa burial ground after funeral prayer held at her matrimonial home in the Kerau area of the metropolis.

Hundreds of sympathisers from all walks of life attended the funeral prayer led by Malam Mannir Isa Kerau who prayed for the repose of her soul and for the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Among the attendees were former Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Abdullahi Garba Faskari, the state Head of Service Idris Tune, Dr Tukur Bello Ingawa, Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, District head of Kurfi and Maradin Katsina, Ahmadu Kurfi, her aged husband Hassan Kurfi, and permanent secretaries both serving and retired.

Aged 57 years, Gachi is survived by her husband, Hassan Kurfi, a retired civil servant, seven children, and many grandchildren.

She died on Monday after a protracted illness at a Lagos hospital where she had heart surgery. Her remains were later brought to Katsina for burial.
