Katsina deputy governor resigns as agric commissioner

Katsina State Deputy Governor Mannir Yakubu, in compliance with Section 84 (12) of the 2022 Electoral Act (as amended), has resigned his appointment as Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by Ibrahim Musa Kallah, his chief press secretary. He said the deputy governor tendered his letter of resignation on April 14, 2022, in his preparations to declare for the governorship race.

He said the deputy governor thanked Almighty Allah and Governor Aminu Masari for giving him the opportunity to contribute to the restoration of the agricultural sector in the state.
