About 142 aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina state who lost at the just-concluded State House of Assembly primaries have met to review and assess the primaries to decide the next line of actions.
Daily Trust gathered that the meeting held behind closed door discussed alleged party irregularities that cost them the elections at their respective constituencies.
“We met and consoled ourselves, reviewed what happened at the primaries, which mostly are similar issues across the 34 LGA’s with few new ones that are peculiar to some councils” a source at the meeting told our correspondent in confidence.
“This meeting did not took a firm stand on the next line of possible actions on our part, but we shall soon reach there.
“Already, a proposed meeting is taking place tomorrow with the state governor Aminu Masari, definitely that meeting must have delayed us reaching a decision today but by tomorrow after the meeting we shall avail the media our stand,” he added.
