Karaye emir confirms Kwankwaso’s brother as Makama of Karaye, District Head of Madobi

The Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar II, has confirmed Alhaji Saleh Musa Saleh Kwankwaso (Baba) with the title of Makama of Karaye and District Head of Madobi.

He is also among Karaye emirate council member and Kingmaker of Karaye Kingdom.

According to the Information Officer, Karaye emirate council Haruna Gunduwawa, the appointment was recommended and duly approved at this year’s first meeting of the Karaye emirate council held Wednesday 13th January, 2021

The meeting also applauded his Royal Highness for his foresight and honouring the family of late Makama of Karaye.

While congratulating the new Makama, he enjoined him to continue from where his late father stopped, adding that late Musa Saleh Kwankwaso is a complete gentleman, loyal, just and peace lover and committed leader who championed the course of his people.

Alhaji Saleh Musa Saleh Kwankwaso ( Baba), who is the younger brother of former Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, inherited the stool of his Late father, Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso, who died recently.

A National Diploma holder in building engineering, Alhaji Musa Kwankwaso was born in the year 1964 and was until the new appointment, a Village Head of Kwankwaso in Madobi local government area.

The new Makama of Karaye had been representing his late father in royal activities, including in the Karaye Emir’s palace for over twenty years.
