Narrating why she attempted to kill herself, the estranged woman said she felt she could not live without her boyfriend who, however, didn’t choose her as his wife to be.

“I bought rat poison to drink because I can’t watch him living his normal life and talking to other ladies. I am tired of this world.

“I love him so much that I choose him as the only person I want to marry not knowing that he is deceiving me. Honestly, I won’t forgive him,” she narrated.

Her mother, whose name was not revealed, said this is the second time her daughter attempted to commit suicide, adding that but for the police, she would have died.

“There was a time she attempted such by drinking Hypo and was rescued using milk. This time around the police rescued her before she drank the rat poison. I never thought she will do this just because of love,” she said.

However, the state police command said investigation has commenced to unravel the reason behind the incident and the next line of action.

The PPRO warned the general public to desist from attempting suicide, adding that anybody arrested would be charged to court for sanctioning.
