The Gaya Emirate Council in Kano State has terminated the appointment of Gudduba village Head, Mallam Usman Muhd Lawan, in Ajingi Local Government Area with immediate effect.
The Emir of Gaya, Dr Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, who announced this, said after a long verification the village head was found guilty of involvement in land racketeering.

Meanwhile, the District Head of the LGA, Alhaji Wada Aliyu, (Madakin Gaya) has been directed to send a district representative to take over the affairs of the village.
The emir warned that the emirate would no longer tolerate any indiscipline that can tarnish its good image.
He advised all traditional rulers and title holders to justify the confidence reposed on them by the emirate.
