Kano state governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has revealed that for the efficient and effective conduct of health care delivery system in the state, the Kano state administration is set to establish governing board for the state’s Primary Health Care Development Agency.
The governor made this known when he received a delegation of coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working under scale up of Partnership for Advocacy in Child and Family Health Project (PACFaH) in collaboration with development Research and Projects Centre (dRPC).
According to him, Kano state government had done a lot of intervention in ensuring an effective health delivery system in the state, adding that based on the importance attached to the sector, Kano state is celebrating five years without any case of polio.
“Establishment of Governing Board for the agency alongside other agencies is what is on my administration’s table now. It may interest you to know that, even before you came praying for this, we already have it in our next lines of action. We take anything related to health sector very seriously,” he assured.
