The Kano State Police Command says it has arrested a 21-year-old notorious car thief in Yobe State and recovered five vehicles and 10 tricycles, all stolen in Kano.
The spokesman of the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed this while displaying the recovered vehicles at the command’s headquarters on Thursday.

He said the arrest and recovery of the vehicles followed a report by a resident of Kano whose car was stolen sometimes ago.
Kiyawa said the suspect confessed that he usually visits parking spaces in the state in the early morning to disguise as one of the owners to steal the vehicles.
He encouraged the vehicle owners to visit the command’s headquarters with their documents.
