Former French international, Lionel Soccoia Emmanuel has been unveiled as Kano Pillars technical adviser.
The French man has been contracted for just a season as he is expected to lead Pillars to success in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign as well as the Nigeria Professional Football League.

According to the Chairman of the Sai Masu Gida, Surajo Shu’aib Yahaya Jambul, Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the contract of the Frenchman for a season.
He will work with the current coaches headed by Ibrahim A.Musa, who led Pillars to win the 2019 Nigeria FA Cup.
“We hope history will repeat itself that at one time, we reached the semi final of the CAF Champions League with a foreign coach.
“Mr Lionel is a Frenchman. We hope this time around we will not only stop there but win and bring the CAF Confederation Cup to Nigeria and to the ancient city of Kano in particular,” the Pillars boss declared.
Speaking after his unveiling, the new Technical Adviser, Mr Lionel Emmanuel thanked the team’s management for giving him the opportunity to serve the club. He promised to lift the club to greater heights.
Soccoia last post was head coach of South African club Black Leopards in September 2019.
He has also worked in Cameroon, Tanzania and Zambia.
