The appeal filed by Kano Pillars against the NFF’s Organising and Disciplinary Committee’s decision to deduct their three points is mired in uncertainty as nobody is sure of when the Appeals Committee will meet.
It would be recalled that the NFF Disciplinary Committee meeting of July 8, upheld the result of the rescheduled week 31 match between Pillars and Dakkada which ended 1-0 in favour of the former but activated a suspended three points deduction against Pillars over what it termed breaches of the NPFL Framework and Rules.

The decision by the O&D to deduct another three points from Pillars has further jeopardised the ‘Sai Masu gida’ boys’ chances of survival in the ongoing NPFL season.
Kano Pillars are presently 18th on the log with 45 points which means if the three points they are fighting to recover are eventually lost, it will be all over for them.
Although the committee was to meet today, at the time of press, it was still not clear if that would happen.
A reliable source in the NFF told our reporter that it was unlikely the committee would meet as scheduled.
“I doubt if the committee is going to meet tomorrow (today) but what I know for sure is that the case will be looked into before Sunday,” he said.
