The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano State has elected new set of leaders to steer the activities of the party going forward.
Yusuf Ado Kibiya has been elected as the new chairman of the party in Kano.
The election which started since Saturday evening was however concluded and the results were announced on Sunday by the chairman of the election committee from the party’s national headquarters, Halilu Abubakar Mazagani.
Kibiya secured a landslide victory, clinching the seat with 3,964 votes to defeat his opponent, Nura Nuhu, who scored 244 votes.

Following the announcement, Barrister Abdul Fatah Muhammad administered the oath of office to the 39 newly elected state party leaders, including Hon. Kibiya.
The new leadership is expected to steer the PDP’s affairs in Kano, as the party works towards strengthening its presence and strategies ahead of upcoming political activities.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Kibiya thanked party members for their confidence and promised to lead with transparency and inclusiveness, aiming to revitalize the PDP in Kano State.
