The second week of the prestigious 2023 NPA/ GTCO international polo festival is billed to climax with fanfare with title holders Lintex-Intercontra, former champions, Leighton Kings battle for the event’s biggest prize, the Majekodunmi Cup today.
According to the organizers, the final cup of the highly glittering Majekodunmi Cup will come to a climax at Ribadu Road Polo Ground in IKoyi, Lagos.
Last year, Kano Lintex shocked three times defending champions, Leighton Kings to clinch the diadem, thanks to their sudden death goal in the seventh chukka that fetched them their first ever Lagos polo biggest crown.
Polo Royals report that while Leighton Kings are looking to exact a sweet revenge and restore their bruised ego, their Kano counterparts who arrived Lagos in their droves, are boasting that their Linter champions have all it takes to successfully defend the title.
