The management of Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State yesterday said the council has suspended the proposed five-kilometre Sheka Karshen Kwalta Wailari road that was initially approved by the Kano State Government at the cost N500 million and to be executed by the council.
The suspension of the road project was contained in a statement issued by the local government council and signed by the council’s Director of Personnel Management, Umma Abbas Sanusi. According to the statement, the suspension became necessary to avoid duplication as a member of the House of Representatives representing Kumbotso Federal Constituency, Munir Dan Agundi, had undertaken to work on the same project.
