The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Kano/Jigawa Command, said it seized goods worth N41.4 billion in the two states within three months; July to September 2021.
The Controller of the command, Sulaiman Pai Umar, who stated this while addressing a press conference at the command’s headquarters in Kano on Thursday, also said the command generated N16.9bn as revenue within eight months, January to August 2021, from the two states.

He said some of the goods confiscated included 707 bags of foreign rice, 155 bales of second-hand clothes, 130 cartons of spaghetti and 231 cartons of creamer.
Umar said the command had handed over 185 cartons of unregistered and expired drugs it seized to the operatives of NAFDAC.
