The Kano State chapter of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has elected new leaders following the end of the tenure of the immediate past leadership under Bashir Danmalam who led the association for 10 years.
During the elections and swearing-in which took place at Niima Guest Palace in Kano, Alhaji Gana Abubakar Girgir emerged as the chairman.

City & Crime reports that Mr Girgir emerged unopposed during the elections, along with Alhaji Abubakar Adamu Isawa (vice chairman), Alhaji Mansur Abubakar (secretary), Alhaji Abdqadir Dahiru (assistant secretary) and Alhaji Musa Danjuma (auditor).
Others are Alhaji Kamilu Abdullahi (financial secretary), Alhaji Musa Muhammad (PRO), Alhaji Ya’u Dashi (organising secretary) and Alhaji Sulaiman IMG (legal adviser).
