KANO: IGP condoles with Emir Sanusi, family of late Dan’masanin Kano

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris has condoled with the Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II and the family of the late elder statesman Yusuf Maitama Sule, Dan’masanin Kano, over his demise.

The IGP who paid a condolence visit to the emir’s palace and the family compound of the deceased in Kano yesterday, described the death of the elder statesman as a great loss not only to Kano State but to Nigeria as a whole.

He described the late Dan’masani as a “great peace builder” and a man who had Nigeria at heart and was always committed to its unity.

The Wamban Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, who received the police chief and his entourage on behalf of Emir Sanusi, thanked him for identifying with the emirate council and the entire people of Kano in their grief.
