Kano health workers: Court adjourns to May 7 for hearing

The National Industrial Court of Nigeria, sitting in Kano, has adjourned its sitting to May 7, 2019 for hearing in a motion filed before it by Kano state government in its case against the employees of Kano State Hospital Management Board.

It could be recalled that, the complainants, through their counsel, Barrister Lamin Bala, have file an application before the court seeking for a committal order to made against the Head of Service, Kano state for his failure to comply with the court judgement passed on the 27th of November, 2018.

“The defense party, however, did not respond to the application in time, and them came up with a motion for extension of time within which to our application,” Barr Bala has said.

The presiding judge, Honourable Justice E. B. E. Isiele, heard the motion and granted the request of the defense party for the extension of time, and therefore adjourned to May 7 for continuation of the hearing of the three pending applications.

The pending applications include the application for the committal proceeding filed by the complainants and the two applications of leave to appeal and stay of execution of judgement filed by the defense party.
