Five hours behind the scheduled time for resumption of collation of result for the just concluded rerun election in Kano state, the result of Gama ward is still delaying the exercise.
Gama, a densely populated ward with over 40,000 votes spread among 62 polling units is the darling ward to both All Progressive Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) respectively.
It would be recalled that the March 9 gubernatorial election in the state was declared inconclusive following a violence at Nassarawa local government collation centre while Gama results is being collated.
Professor B. B Shehu had yesterday announced the postponement of the collation of results of the rerun election till today.
However, five hours behind schedule, result from Gama ward was not ready.
Representatives of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and their counterparts in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were eager to have Gama results.
Other stakeholders including representatives of other political parties and international and domestic election observers were also eager to hear the declaration of results from Gama ward.
