Kano State Government Monday said it has paid about N336 million as 2022 National Examination Council (NECO) fees for 29, 031 students in the state.
The commissioner for information in the State, Muhammad Garba, made the disclosure to newsmen on Monday in Kano.

Garba was reacting to a media report insinuating that the state students might miss the 2022 NECO examination over the government’s inability to settle their examination fees.
He said the list included 15,313 students that had 9 credits from their qualifying examination and 1,018 students living with disabilities.
“As well as 7,300 for Special Intervention which is basically for Girl Child Education, and local government councils paid for 5,400 students”. (NAN)
