Kano State Government has selected 40 professionals in the fields of engineering, Architecture and other trades for training in the United Kingdom with a view to managing its newly established Skill Acquisition Centre on their return to the country.
This was disclosed by the State Governor Dr. Abdullah Umar Ganduje when he received newly graduated Assistant Superintendants of Immigration service on a courtesy call in his office.
Dr. Ganduje represented by his Deputy, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna was quoted in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Hassan Musa Fagge as saying that “There is nothing more important than the aspects of human development and this explains the reason why empowerment activities are ongoing under the present administration.
“This can be testified from the just recently completed Youth Skill Acquisition Centre which is going to be commissioned very soon.
Already about 40 Professionals most of them engineers, Architectures and different other trades are been employed and are travelling to UK for training. They are the one to come back and manage the Acquisition Centre “the statement said.
He said Kano was among the best States that made their position known when it comes to the issue of empowerment programmes, adding that “through this, our Youth especially Women are gainfully employed and that will increase the level of economic activities thereby reducing the issue of insecurity in the State “
The leader of the Immigration officers, Yusuf Suleiman Shu’aibu said they were at the Government House to seek for fatherly advice from the Governor following their successful graduation and commissioning as Assistant Superintendants of Immigration.
