Kano gets new CP

The newly deployed commissioner of police in Kano State, Abubakar Lawal, yesterday resumed duty at the command’s headquarters, Bompai. 

Lawal was deployed to Kano on Wednesday following the retirement of CP Sama’ila Shuaibu Dikko.

Daily Trust Saturday reports that Dikko retired from the police service as the 42nd commissioner of the Kano police command on July 27, 2022 after attaining 60 years of age.

With his deployment, Lawal becomes the 43rd commissioner of police in the state.

Before his deployment to Kano, he was commissioner of police in the Enugu State police command.
