Kano CP presents N18m cheques to 30 beneficiaries

 

The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, Mamman Dauda, has presented cheques amounting to N18,779,978:02 to 30 beneficiaries under the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba Group Life Assurance and Family Welfare Scheme.

The beneficiaries that were presented with the cheques are the next of kin of deceased police officers who have served the command during their lifetime.

In his remark while handing over the cheques, CP Mamman urged the beneficiaries to judiciously use the money, for the upkeep and welfare of the families.

He further stated that the IGP’s welfare scheme was meant to ameliorate the suffering or hardship faced by the families of the deceased immediately before the benefits of such officers are paid.
