Kano conference misleading – ACF

The forum said it was not officially invited to the conference despite its position as the umbrella body that speaks on behalf of the region on national and regional matters. ACF National Publicity Secretary Mohammed Ibrahim told Daily Trust that they were struck by the conference and its outcome. “We were not happy with the conference because majority of the organizers were founding members of the forum who were always expected to strive in uniting the region and indeed the whole country. But what happened in Kano indicated that the there is no unity among the elders and that is a bad lesson for the youth, it shows disunity”, he said.
He said the forum would remain neutral on all matters and continue with the effort of fostering unity among the people and avoid any move capable of bringing bad feelings among Nigerians.
