The senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Kano Central, Abdulsalam AbdulKareem (aka AA Zaura), has said he will not succumb to any threat or intimidation aimed at stopping him from reaching the grassroots in the electioneering period.
Zaura, who has been in the eye of the storm recently with his ongoing case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), stated this while briefing journalists in Kano on his plans for the senatorial district during the campaign and after the election.
He said he did not feel threatened as a “newbie” in politics to be attempting to represent a district that has had two former governors as its representatives in the Senate.

“We have touched the lives of the people and we know the problem of the people. Nothing can deter me; nothing will scare me to be with my people, to touch the lives of my people. No amount of threat, pressure will separate me from the grassroots and the masses,” he said.
