Kano bankrolls exam fees for 2,595 disabled students

The Kano State Executive Council has approved the release of N32.4 million to pay examination fees for 2,595 disabled students in the state.

The examinations included: National Examination Council (NECO), National Board for Arabic and Islamic Schools (NBAIS) and West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The state Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, stated this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the council meeting on Thursday in Kano.

“The council has approved the sum of N11 million per head for the 2,595 verified candidates for NECO, totaling N28.5 million, while a total of N1.8 million would be spent at the rate of N9, 500.00 per candidates for NBAIS examination,” he said.
