The Kano State House of Assembly has suspended the Chairman of Gwale Local Government Area, Khalid Ishaq Diso, for three months.
Diso, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was accused of selling lands belonging to the government and sidelining some of his councillors.
The House took the decision after adopting the report of its committee on local government and chieftaincy affairs at plenary on Tuesday.
The assembly said six out of 10 councillors of the LGA petitioned it over the activities of the chairman which they were not comfortable with.
