Kano, Argungu, Yola upbeat for 2024 polo festivals

The northern leg of the Nigerian polo tour is bracing up for a crowded fixture in the month of September with three billboard tournaments lined up for the third quarter of the 2024 season.

The respective hosting clubs are in the process of confirming their tournaments dates, with the foremost NSK Polo Resort expected to take the first slot with its prestigious Argungu Polo & Cultural fete that traditionally comes up shortly after the Katsina event.

As the only polo tournament that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of northern Nigeria and showcases the tourism potential of Nigeria, Argungu Polo & Cultural Festival is backed by the Kebbi State government, Argungu Emirate and a consortium of blue chip organisations.

From the ancient Kabi Kingdom in Kebbi State, the calvary would make a short trip to the ancient kingdom of Kano for the 2024 Kano international polo tournament that promises two weeks of top flight polo actions featuring all the big names of Nigerian polo and their foreign counterparts in a must attend festival.
