Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and a former governor of the state, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, have met with Yobe State governor and Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Mai Mal Buni, over the crisis bedeviling the state chapter of the party.

The meeting took place Friday at the Yobe State Governor’s lodge inA buja, ahead of the February 26, 2022 national convention of the party.

The Director General, Media and Press Affairs to the Yobe State governor, Mamman Mohammed confirmed to our correspondent in a telephone chat last night that the meeting was held behind closed doors.

He said Ganduje attended the meeting in person for the first time since the time Buni started meeting with the two warring factions of the party in Kano State.

Mohammed said: “Both Governor Ganduje and Shekarau expressed optimism that their difference would soon be resolved.”

He said Senator Barau was also in attendance.
