The Kano State Fire Service has said that eight persons were killed and property worth N21,650,000 destroyed by fire in October, 2023 in the state.
The spokesman of the service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, said the command received 43 fire calls, 21 rescue calls and 10 false alarms in its 29 fire stations across the state in the month under review.
He said, “Estimated property destroyed by the fire disasters amounted to N21,650,000, estimated property saved by our men from the disasters is N46,700,000, while eight lives were lost from different disasters.
