The Kano State Fire Service has said it saved 126 lives and property worth N126.6 million in March 2022.
In a statement, the spokesman of the service, Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi, said, “We received 166 fire calls, 84 rescue calls and 33 false alarms.”

While noting that fires, in March, killed 17, people and destroyed property worth N51,012,000, he said, “Estimated property saved by our men is worth N123,678,000, and 126 lives were saved.”
He, therefore, called on the general public to handle fire with care to avoid accidents, and to abide by traffic laws to avoid road crashes.
