Kannywood actor and singer, Adam A. Zango, has denied being mobbed by some irate youths in Kano because he ‘insulted’ President Muhammadu Buhari.

As peddled on social media on Thursday, the actor was said to have been hospitalized after some miscreants vented their anger on him because he switched from President Muhammadu Buhari’s camp to that of the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

The rumour accompanied by a picture of the actor wearing blood-stained white T-shirt and wounded on his head claimed that the actor was mobbed by some irate youth in Kano because he insulted President Buhari.

Zango also known as Fresh Prince told Daily Trust that the there was no iota of truth regarding the story which circulated on the social media on Thursday.

He said, “There was no iota of truth in respect with the story circulated on the social media; and let me state it categorically I wasn’t attacked by any miscreants and I didn’t insult President Buhari.”

“The picture that accompanied the rumour was my picture snapped in 2015 during the set of my movie titled ‘Basaja Gidan Yari’, in the film I played the role of the character Jabir, a man who goes about swindling shady rich men and tricking wealthy fraudsters,” he said.

Zango who won Africa Movie Best Actor in 2014 and City People Magazine Best Popular Actor in 2015 urged the general public to disregard the rumour as he was in good health condition and working for Atiku Abubakar to be elected as Nigeria’s next president tomorrow.
